About Me

Hi, I'm Ashley Gleeson: a mother, wife, special education teacher and photographer here in central Pennsylvania. Photography has always been a passion of mine; however, I didn't quite realize the impact it could have on others until I began to share my photos. Several years ago, I dusted off my camera and jumped back in. I began to take more pictures of my family and friends and started experimenting with different lights and textures. I have no words to describe the feeling I experienced when I began to share photos I captured and saw the joy it brought the people I loved. I knew my journey to spread happiness to those around me connected back to my camera.  I decided to take that feeling and share it with as many individuals as I can.

 

What makes me different? I understand and value the fact that all families are different. I was born to teen parents, have several siblings with disabilities, and was raised by my grandmother. My childhood and teaching background have allowed me to develop a sense of pride for who I am, and patience and understanding for those around me.  When I work with you and your loved ones, I will approach you as unique family with unique needs. Whether you have a child with special needs, a husband who is (sort of, kind of) dreading the family picture scene, or a camera-shy toddler, I will work to make sure everyone involved feels relaxed and confident throughout the entire photography session.
